Working with my after school art club we are creating a "Circle Painting" mural based on the concept of collaboration, community, and creativity, as described by the project founders and also through the videos linked below:

We chose the circle motif because of its spiritual complexities underlying the

simplicity of its form which reflect and represent all things in nature. The circle

is also an ancient and universal symbol, having power and motion in both the

physical and spiritual realms. Circle  is the archetypal symbol for wholeness.

It means different things for different people.  What does the circle mean to you?

For example, for some, circle is  just a shape of a pizza, a cookie, or an orange,

the earth, the universe.  For others, circle means “circle of friends” or a “circle
of life”. For us, Circle means Connection, Creativity, and Celebration!
